Why stonelight®?

The meaning behind the name.

When my son Jake and I lived in Germany, our days were spent at the clinic for treatments. In the late afternoons, as we walked home, the moon would already be visible in the sky. We’d return to our apartment to freshen up, and most days, Jake would ask to go back outside by simply saying, “Moon!”

No matter the hour, the moon seemed to follow us—hanging brightly in our path, even in daylight. Jake was still learning to talk, and he would say the moon was “stuck,” because to him, it never moved. We’d walk the cobblestone streets to a nearby park, and as the sun set, the glow of the moon would illuminate the stones beneath our feet on our way home.

Jake’s life hung in the balance, yet in those moments, we were simply together.

And now that he’s gone, I’ll always feel connected to him through the light of the moon. Stonelight® is a reflection of those sacred memories: the cobblestone streets where we walked together, and the steady light of Jake’s moon—always shining, always present.
